FRIDAY FINDS! - Orange Monkey

I am blessed to have girlfriends with so many talents, it never ceases to amaze me. Today I'm excited to feature one of my dear friends Marcie on The Julep. Marcie and I met while working at the corporate office for Fossil.  She has created so many great items that I am excited to share them with you. She is in the process of creating her Etsy Shop, Orange Monkey, and it should be up in the next week or two. Her logo is below:

She has two little ones of her own so making baby/kid related items as turned into a hobby for her that she definitely excels in. For my shower she asked me to send her pictures of my  nursery and she did a good job at stalking my pinterest board to create one of my favorite shower gifts. She made these beautiful neutral burp clothes, which I feel anything neutral is sometimes hard to be cute :). She also created this great bin that sits on our antique bookshelf in the nursery that houses the little toys for our little one. Here are some pictures of the burp clothes and bin that she created for us. As soon as I opened the gift everyone at the shower was oohing and awing over her masterpiece and asking where she got it. She simply replied I made it, and that's when I knew my dear friend needed to create a shop of her own :)!!

In addition to custom burp clothes and bins she has created some wonderful other items. She can do 3 different sizes of paper covered bins, burp clothes, bibs, sock monkeys, fabric drawstring favor bags and mobiles. I have posted some of her pictures below:

Here is a pic of her adorable fabric mobile that she created. Again, she can match anything back to your nursery or your friend's nursery colors. You can also notice the adorable sock monkey that she created on the crib as well.

Another adorable picture of a sock monkey that she created. I was on the phone with her last night and she is amazing to work with. She was out hunting for the perfect sock for our little sock monkey. Her custom work is great for nurseries or birthday gifts because she can truly create something that goes with the theme or colorway.
This is the perfect gift for baby showers. She can do a color theme throughout the bin, and it's nice because as many of you know, you can't have enough storage in the nursery. But in talking with Marcie the bin is not just geared to baby showers. I think this would be a great present for  a housewarming gift filled with supplies, birthday party filled with a gift, or as we have graduation parties what a great way to pack college essentials in a bin that is decorated in their college color ways. And as many of us know girls who rush what a great gift to get her a bin decorated in her sorority colors :)
I love this round shape on the bin, and you can see that this would be so cute in a little boy's room or nursery as well. There are some of the goody bags that she made for her son Max's bday.
I love these animals that she created here!
She did this adorable border for her son Max's birthday, like I said she is not limited to just bins and sock monkeys. She can create anything :)!
A girl themed gift basket, I loved the paisley paper she used on this bin!

As you can see my dear friend Marcie has a true talent!! If you wish to order or inquire more for pricing please email her at marcieamiller@gmail.com. Be on the lookout for her shop Orange Monkey to be up on Etsy in the next coming week or two! I know for the next baby shower I have I will be looking to order one of her adorable tins complete with burp clothes and bibs!

Here is an adorable picture of her and her little girl Ella:

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

It's Madness!

I love this time of year when March Madness begins..... I'm a huge sports fan so the thought of having games on pretty much daily is exciting to me. In addition, I met my husband 6 years ago at a sports bar in Dallas during March Madness, so this time of year has a special meaning in our home.

I love a good upset even if it destroys my bracket, there is just something exciting about an underdog defeating the big guy who is favored to win. On a day like today I miss being in an office where everyone has there screens up so that they can watch scores, long lunches are taken to watch big games, and most of the office conversation is centered around what's the score and who won. I will definitely miss conversing with all my JCP sports fans during this time.

I have Miami winning it all so we shall see how that plays out for me. I just got back from Whole Foods per my husbands request picked up a ton of Chicken Wings for tom night. I have to admit I have never had chicken wings before, but what the heck I minds well indulge.

May there be good games for all of us to enjoy in during the next couple weeks of the tourney!

Let the Madness Begin!!

Cheers!

Wednesday Wants- Random Edition

For my Wednesday Wants today,  I am focusing on lots of different categories... But before we get to my ever important list of wants, I have to give a special shout out to my dear friend Mallory (charmingincharlotte.blogspot.com) who redesigned the header of The Julep!! I adore it, so thank you Mallory :)!!

Ok, here are my ever long list of wants.. First and most important I want to meet my little one, so that is at the top of the list this week:

1-Baby
We spend some time in the nursery daily and we are ready for a little baby to come join us so that we can show them all the great things that people have graciously given us. Rex has taken to sitting in the chair on a daily basis :).

2-SUN!! Today is the first day of Spring, but as I type this blog I'm staring at snow on the ground and temps that are below 30 degrees. Unacceptable for the first day of Spring..

This is back at our home in Texas, and I would love to be outside by the pool today soaking up the sun with a little baby next to me :).

3- TAN, my legs are soo white it is by far disgusting.. I think I may have to do a blog post testing new tanning products because I can't take much longer of this white skin. I'm a big fan of the spray tan, but right now I've been researching some at home tanning creams. I will let you know once I decide to do my test.:) If you have one that you stand behind please message me :).

4-CHAMPAGNE!! Yes, I do love a good cocktail but to me nothing is better than Champagne especially when it involves consuming with girlfriends over some cherished girl time. The cherry on top would be having champagne with my girlfriends on a beach :).

5- Vacation- My girlfriend Emily and her hubby went to the St. Regis in Punta Mita and I'm dying to go, so this is on my want list. We usually head to the Caribbean,  but this resort looks amazing:

6-Beach Attire- To me nothing says Spring/Summer better than a Calypso St. Barth outfit, shirt, dress, etc.. So here are a few of my favorite pics for the sunny weather that lies ahead:
Calypso Fabia Sleeveless Maxi Dress
Love this, its perfect for a date night or casual Sat outing with the girlfriends!
Leonie Sleeveless Dress
Love this short dress, it's flirty and fun!
Lulu Printed Tunic
I love a good tunic, and this one for $98 is hard to beat.. Looks great with a pair of skinny jeans or over a cute suit!

Janan Silk Dip Dye Tunic
I am loving this dip dye tunic, however I would pair it with a pair of dark blue rinse jeans or kelly green instead of white...  :)

7-Sandals- The best part of sunny weather is getting pedicures and showing off your newly manicured toes .
Here are a couple of sandals/espadrilles that I'm adding to my want list:
Tory Burch Britton Sandal in Gold
Love these sandals because you can dress them up or down. :)

I love a good pair of espadrilles and I love the casual ones that Tory has. Here is a pair that I'm dying to get for running around this Spring, you have 4 color options:

Tory Burch Beacher Espadrille
I personally love the yellow colorway.I think yellow is a great neutral but still a color!

8-Summer Tote- I love a good tote for Spring/Summer, mine usually ends up being beaten up by the end of the Season since I'm throwing everything in there for towels, sunscreen, makeup. You get the point. I love this one from Joie it comes in different colors and is a great price point of $118. I think I'm dying over the Turq:

Joie Louisa Tote

Great night for TV as I love watching Rachel Zoe and Brad. I love Rachel, but I have to admit, I'm on Team Brad :). However, I end up having to watch them on Thur once Greg has gone to work so I don't have to listen to him complain about all the reality television I partake in :).I hope this week is going by fast for everyone. Surprisingly, it is going be fast for me even though I'm so ready to meet this little one. I cleaned like a mad woman yesterday (I have been doing a deep clean weekly now), but there is nothing better to me than the smell of a clean house.I have my weekly dr's appt this morning, so praying that this baby is making some headway.

Happy Hump Day and Happy Spring!
Cheers!

What's for Dinner...

I don't know about you, but this phrase gives me headaches... After living apart for 2 years, I got used to eating the same thing for days, and picking up dinners from My Fit Foods. I'm so happy to be living under one roof with Greg, but planning dinners can be stressful. We all  have  our go to meals; you know the ones that you could recite the recipes by heart. If you are like me, these recipes take you probably under 20 minutes to make :)..

My weekly goal has been to incorporate at least one new meal a week sometimes two.. But for now the goal is at least one.. Our dinner last night was our new meal for the week, and it was AMAZING!!! We tried the Pioneer Women's  Butternut Squash and Kale Quesadillas.  We found a great deal on Kale in the frozen section at Costco. I see lots more Kale recipes in our future to get thru the giant bag :). Greg made a homemade spicy salsa (we are trying to get this baby movin'), to accompany the quesadillas and it was fantastic..

The pics don't really show how amazing the meal was, especially since the quesadillas were a little messy so please ignore my sloppy plating :).

Here is the recipe for the quesadillas:
Pioneer Woman Butternut Squash and Kale Quesadillas

One of our tried and true recipes is my special salad.. It has become a staple at family gatherings and is probably the easiest salad to make..  I just use spring mix, craisins, apples, glazed walnuts, and a Girard's light champagne vinaigrette. Depending on your mood for the day, I will substitute pears or strawberries for the apples, and use almonds instead of walnuts or no nuts at all. This was our dinner for Friday night, so I added some chicken on top for more protein and didn't have nuts because baby brain kicked in and I simply left the store without them... Here is a pic of our go to salad:

Greg's staple recipe in our house is Pizza Night. It occurs on Fri or Sat night depending on what's going on.We have got our ingredients down pat now, since we tried a few different recipes. We get the whole wheat dough ball from Whole Foods, and Greg makes his secret pizza sauce (which I may get him to share with the blog one of these days). You can purchase pizza sauce from Whole Foods, if you are in a time crunch and don't want to make your own. Our toppings consist of turkey pepperoni, spicy italian turkey sausage, red onion, mozzarella cheese, and jalapenos..  Here is a pic of our homemade pizza from Sat night:
Hope everyone has a wonderful week.. We are going to get hit with snow again this week.. Blah, hoping the first day of Spring this week may mean the end to snow here for awhile~

Cheers!

Top O' The Mornin To Ya'

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!! I hope everyone had fun at all the festivities yesterday that were going on all over the country!! I loved ( envied/hated) everyone who kept posting pics saying how great the weather was where they were and I did notice how everyone was in shorts and short sleeves!

I have always loved celebrating St. Patrick's Day.. My dad always woke us up to The Chieftain's blaring throughout the house on this special day as we celebrate our Irish heritage. My parents always hosted a St. Patrick's Day party in which my mom would make the traditional Irish foods, that I personally did not have any interest in trying :).. I was lucky to meet a man who also celebrated St. Patrick's Day in a BIG WAY.. In Dallas, when I met Greg he owned a house on the M streets which is in walking distance to the famous Greenville Avenue so we would always host a big party there for our family and friends..

About five years ago, this holiday became even more special as our Little Welsh Terrier, Rex was born.. I didn't receive him till my birthday in May but our little man was brought into this world on this special day. He has brought more joy, frustration, laughter, and fun into our lives.. Greg was hoping our little one would make their special appearance on this day, but doesn't look like that will happen.. But then again it is still very early!

Happy 5th Bday Rex!!

May the Irish hills caress you.
May her lakes and rivers bless you.
May the luck of the Irish enfold you.
May the blessings of St. Patrick behold you.
-Irish Blessing

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

FRIDAY FINDS!!

I decided that I want to do a segment every Friday on new products, designers, places, anything that isn't mainstream yet... I love finding designers or really anything that not everyone is wearing yet.. It can be quite frustrating at times, but soo rewarding in the end :)!

So, today I'm so excited to feature Micah Yancey of Bon Bon Jewelry. I came across Micah when I was at the Dallas Chi Omega Christmas Market with one of my fellow sorority sisters Emily and my mom and sister. I knew I wanted to have custom jewelry done for my bridesmaids and myself for the wedding. I was teetering with Kendra Scott, but felt too many people were wearing her, and I wanted something that stood out :).

Micah's booth and beautiful jewelry caught Emily and I's eyes, so much so that we both ended up buying the same earrings and chatting with Micah and her sister for awhile. I ended up talking to Micah about possibly doing custom wedding jewelry and we exchanged information. Micah's pieces are very unique and she is a great price point for the product that she offers. Her stones are one of a kind, and my favorite part is her jewelry stands out, I always get stopped when I'm wearing one of her pieces.  You won't have any buyers remorse buying any piece in her collection :).

Micah was amazing to work with.. We had a few meetings to pick out stones, shapes, and designs and then she was off and running. I told her about each one of my bridesmaids and based on their personality she was able to help design some great pieces that I hope they can wear long after the wedding.. That was my goal at least :).

Here is the picture of my something blue earrings:

Here are some pictures of my beautiful bridesmaid's in their jewelry created by Micah:

I wish I had some closer pics of the girls in their earrings so you could truly see how beautiful they were.  Micah created a necklace for my sister to match back to her earrings, the set together was absolutely stunning!

Here is  a pic of one of my bff's  and sorority sister Emily, who was with me when we found Micah at the Chi O Market.  She knew that Micah had created pieces for all the bridesmaids so she wore her Bon Bon Earrings to the wedding as well:

I have been browsing thru Micah's Spring/Summer 13' collection and definitely have my eye on a few pieces.. Please go to her website to checkout her amazing collection:

Micah Yancey Bon Bon Jewelry

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend... We are getting hit with snow AGAIN here.. BLAH! Happy St. Patrick's Day, this holiday always makes me miss Dallas and our home on the M streets, where we would host an annual St. Patrick's Day Party! For all my Dallas friends and family, or really anyone enjoy a nice Irish cocktail for this mama!!

CHEERS!

Wednesday Wants- Men's Edition

I admit it, I love shopping for men's clothes.... I have so much fun going shopping with Greg and updating his wardrobe.. Maybe it's because men are just easier to shop with and for then women :).  It has been especially fun in the past couple of years as my hubby as gotten more into his "look"  :). He has become an avid fan of some of my favorite men's designers: Billy Reid, Theory, Zachary Prell, and John Varvatos to name a few..

Men's trends for Spring easily coexist with the same trends we are seeing for Women.  The colored bottoms are huge in menswear, and we are even seeing floral bottoms. I know Greg won't touch a pair of floral bottoms, it's even hard to get him in colored bottoms...

Here are a few of my must have's for men this Spring:

Like I said Billy Reid is a favorite in this family, he is an american designer and his fits are hard to beat. The other nice thing about Billy Reid is he designs for the everyday man, meaning his button downs are easy to wear to work and then again on Saturday for a casual outing.. Greg prefers the slim cut fit in Billy Reid, but he also has a standard cut.

Chambray shirts are a must have for the man this Spring, and I love this Monogram Oxford from Billy Reid:

Billy Reid Monogram Oxford

I love a good all american look for Spring and I love this Neilan Woven paired with khakis, dark jeans, or a nice navy blue short:

Billy Reid Neilan Woven

Greg loves a good vintage t-shirt, so much so that I think it's time to go thru his t-shirt drawer again, as I noticed it's overflowing. He loves the vintage tees at Billy Reid, and I know this Make Cornbread not War shirt will find it's way into his drawer this Spring:

Make Cornbread Not War Vintage Tee

The nice thing about the vintage tees, is you can still pull off a polished look with a pair of colored bottoms or dark jeans and a nice chukka boot or oxford.

Now on to colored bottoms.. The one way I was able to get Greg into some colored bottoms this Fall was by introducing him to the AG Protege Slim Straight. He LOVES these pants, so much so we had to go back and get more :)... It's a nice pant and you can easily dress it up or down.  They have some great colors out for Spring, although he has pretty much shot down the colors I would like for him to incorporate :).

AG Protege Slim Straight

I love the mint colorway shown with a chambray shirt or even the vintage cornbread tee. However, I think it's going to be a struggle to get mint into our house, so the other colors I'm going to try are the oceanic and misty rose..

As I mentioned up top, printed bottoms are big in shorts this year along with bright colored shorts. I have listed a few of my favorites below:

Vineyard Vines Gingham Shorts

Vince Trouser Shorts

I love the color on these Vince Shorts, but I know Greg will not go for it..

Ralph Lauren Floral Shorts

I LOVE these floral shorts, but again not sure I could even get him to try these on :)..

There are some great casual knits out there and here are a couple of my favorites:

Burberry Brit Stripe Tee

Stripes are a big trend again for Spring.. I liked this one because of the solid pocket, which adds a nice contrast to the stripe.

These casual Lacoste tees are a staple in our household and great for weekend attire. There are so many colors offered, but I love this blue:

Lacoste V Neck Tee

Last but not least, Footwear... My go to piece of footwear for Spring for any man is a good driver.. It's the ultimate shoe for any man in that it can be worn with just about any outfit :).

Here are some of my favorites:

Billy Reid Driving Loafer
I love the color of this loafer, it's a color but is also a great neutral.

To Boot Watson Driver

To Boot is the choice of footwear in our household.. According to Greg, it's a great shoe made in Italy and extremely comfortable..

Colehaan also has a great driver and it's under $200:

Colehaan Air Grant Loafer

I didn't mean to make this such a long blog post, but as I mentioned above I do love to shop for Men's Clothes!

Happy Hump Day! I was hoping we were turning the corner to Spring, but woke up this am to white stuff on the ground again :(!! Jealous of all my friends and family back in Dallas where I see the high is almost 70 today and you have a big yellow sun next to the temp!

Family Traditions....

I love traditions... Perhaps it's because I'm a creature of habit.. I love routines and schedules and knowing what to expect  :).

Having said that I grew up in a family, where we had lots of traditions. Some of my favorites were; I woke up every holiday to a basket filled of holiday goodies depending on the holiday. Every Christmas day we indulged in a Mexican feast, and every Easter there was a very competitive Easter Egg Hunt with my sister. One of my other favorites was our Sunday Night dinners. We were always busy during the week with soccer, basketball, or volleyball practice and the weekends were filled with tournaments and games. However, Sunday was set aside for a nice meal.

Greg and I have incorporated some of these family traditions into our daily routine. For example, our Christmas dinner is now a mexican feast with an added game of Mexican Train. The other tradition we have incorporated is our Sunday Dinners. I must admit I'm not the best cook, I mean my speciality is salad :)! However, I have taken on a challenge of cooking nightly dinners and not allowing recipes to scare me. However, Sunday nights are our nights to cook a nice dinner together. Greg and I usually plan to do it together, but he starts not following the recipes, so I end up chatting with him on the barstool while he cooks away :).

This past Sunday we had a great meal of cod (plan was salmon but the Cod was on sale at Whole Foods, and guy swore it was a good piece of fish) and veggie medley finished off with the fat free brownies that I made :).

The cod was ok, I was persuaded by the fish man to purchasing a dry rub for the fish and it was a little too salty for our liking.. So of course the one thing I was responsible for turned out bad, but the veggie medley was amazing that Greg made!

Here is a pic from last night's dinner:

Another pic of Greg's veggie medley:

We can't wait to meet this little one so we can start building more traditions with our little family..  I hope everyone had a great weekend and is adjusting to this new time change... I was so excited to wake up this am to start a new week. This weekend wasn't the best in that I dropped my i phone in ice on Friday of course it required getting a new I phone. Then on Saturday we had a false alarm with Baby K, so a rush of emotions in our house took place on Saturday. Having said that, I welcomed the dark sky this am, as I drove to the gym. A new week brings on new joys and challenges!

Cheers!

The WUNDERFUL Pant!

I must admit I love workout clothes... My belief is that if I'm busting my butt 5x a week at the gym, I need to look cute doing it.. I also believe that if you fec  family has become a Lululemon obsessed family...I can finally blame this expensive habit on my husband since he introduced me to Lulu :). Once you wear Lulu, you don't go back.. I PROMISE.. It is well worth the money.. Their clothes fit better and last longer than any other brand that I have tried, and I feel like I have tried them ALL...

Having said that, I'm a fan of the Wunder Under Pant, they even have a whole page/drop down menu from the women's page dedicated to this pant, that should tell you something.. I have been able to wear this pant throughout my whole pregnancy.... Which is AMAZING!! This pant sucks you in, and allows you to move without having to fidget with pulling your pants up the whole time..  Another bonus for Lulu is their tops are long as well, therefore I have been able to workout in all of my Lulu tops from pre-pregnancy to 38 weeks :)... I can't say the same for my Nike or Lucy tops...

Lululemon stuff isn't cheap, but you are definitely paying for fit and quality, and to me I would rather pay more for a good fit and quality then pay half the price but have to be constantly fidgeting with the pant or replacing them yearly... In addition, you can get a couple wears out of the pants (depending on your workout and sweat intensity) before washing.. Ok, come on, we all do it.. RIGHT??? RIGHT??? The other great part about the Wunder Under is that they are reversible too!!! So you can get two pants for $92, not too shabby!!

I have my eyes on the new Wunder Under Crop Stripe as a gift to myself once I'm cleared to workout. Here is a pic of the new stripe below:

New Stripe Wunder Under Crop

Here is my favorite pant, the Wunder Under Sparkle :), what girl doesn't love a little Sparkle when she works out...: Greg got me the sparkle for Christmas, and I thought I would never wear it, but its the one I go to most above the simple black Wunder Under!

Wunder Under Sparkle Pant

I'm telling you, if you haven't tried these pants yet, do yourself a favor and add that to your Weekend todo list.. I LIVE in mine.. They have become a lounge pant, workout pant, and errand pant... AND if my husband didn't look so put together when we go out for dinner, I'm sure I would try to make them my dinner pant :)!!

Have a great weekend! I'm so excited as we finally have temps out of the 30's this weekend, we plan on taking Rex for a long walk...

Wednesday Wants!! J Crew Edition

J Crew has done it again.. Or should I say do they ever miss the boat??? In the past couple of years, I'm always earmarking tons of pages in the catalog and finding myself increasing my J Crew assortment in my closet... They are always on point with assortment, price, and quality.. In addition, they tend to have great sales in which I can pick up quite a few more items... :)..

I received the newest catalog last week and texted a few of my friends saying I'm pretty sure there isn't a page that doesn't have a highlight or an earmark on it.. OOPS! From shoes to accessories, I'm loving all the ditsy floral prints and bright colors.. I have always liked their partnerships with other retailers and this Spring I'm lusting after  the Goldsign Jeans!!!

Here are a few of my wants for this upcoming Spring Season:

The loafers are a must have for the Spring season and these are a great price and what girl can resist a pair of pink loafers :)

I fell in love with these patent flats and the metallic trend is all over the place for Spring. I adore this deep violet color... Loving all the color we are seeing this Spring, especially in footwear.

Like I said before I'm loving the ditsy floral prints especially in printed bottoms... I definitely see myself sporting these toothpick jeans in the Tresco Floral print, paired with the Keeper Chambray shirt!

As I mentioned above I love the Goldsign Jean collection that J Crew has this season.. My favorite pair is the Jeane Jean in Sunset... I could easily have any pair from this collection, but this pair is definitely on my must have list

I love a good crisp pair of dark jeans with a nice white tuxedo shirt, especially the Thomas Mason for J Crew Collection. I purchased one of these last year and it is by far one of the best fitting oxfords that I own! This one was $158 but is now $138!!!

As I'm sure you have figured out by now, Mint is the color for Spring.. So when I saw this Mint Green Blazer, I knew I had to have it... I love that this blazer is so versatile, meaning I could pair it with shorts, dress pants, or over a nice dress!!

As I mentioned above, this list could go on and on since I had so many pages earmarked in my catalog... I will cut it off there, but J Crew is doing 20% off Tees and Shorts right now.. I'm not in the market to buy any shorts yet, need to have this baby first and get some sun on these legs :)!!!

Happy Hump Day!

Countdown to Baby K!! 3-23-13

I can't believe our birth month is FINALLY here!! I have felt like this pregnancy has flown by, but I'm sure these last couple of weeks will be SLOW!! I am soo excited to meet this little one, and after having our crib delayed 3x from Restoration Hardware it was finally delivered on Friday.. Therefore, I feel like we are officially ready..(chuckling.. are you ever really ready??? ) I have the baby bag packed and ready to go and this week, I'm playing with all of our gadgets, strollers, vibrating baby chairs etc, and the breast pump.. Just want to make sure I know how to use these items or at least pretend like I know what I'm doing :).

I have been truly blessed with an easy pregnancy.. I have been able to workout thru my entire pregnancy, and was running 12-15 miles a week up until 34 1/2 weeks. Once I almost hit 35 weeks, I had to start walking, but I'm still keeping up with my goal of 12-15 miles a week. The hardest part for me has just been the changes in your body. For me at least, I thought hey I'm eating healthy and working out I wont' gain that much weight.. In my head I was thinking at most 25 lbs...  HA, was I wrong... I know it's all for the baby which I'm fine with, but let me tell you it's never easy to go to the doctor and get on that scale especially when you have watched what you have eaten....

Like I said, I can't wait to meet our little one and touch their little toes and fingers and rock them in my arms! I am also soo excited to see my husband be a daddy.. He is so excited, and watching him take an active role from the nursery decor to researching projects, lets me know how truly blessed I am to have such a wonderful partner :)!

I have documented some pictures of my pregnancy and have posted them below :

Here I am at 4 weeks, we found out this week that we were pregnant!!
This is just at 13 weeks, and at the beach.. Right after we announced our pregnancy via social media.

20 Weeks and soo excited because I finally had a BUMP!!
29 Weeks, and definitely feeling pregnant  :)

32 weeks and at the shower.. The consensus at the shower is that I'm having a boy.. We shall see :)
My dear friend Kate and I
My dear friend Linz and I

FINALLY, the 37 week picture.. I thought about not posting this pic as I have finally started to have swelling in my calves which is no fun.. The worst part is I can't wear any of my boots that zip up and it's freezing up here!!! But it's only fair to post the pics when you are feeling large and in charge :)

There are some little glimpses of the nursery :).. My husband didn't want to paint or wallpaper as we are just renting this townhouse but now that we are done, he agrees with me that we should do something.. Neither one of us are fond of white walls.. The last item we need to put up are the curtains and overhead light fixture, but we are waiting to put those last details up until we know the gender :)..

My husband had to get a new fancy camera to snap shots of our little one, and of course Rex (our dog) and I have been his "subjects" until our little one arrives.. Here are some of the shots he's taken:

Like I said, I can't wait to meet this little one.. Off to the gym to get my daily walks in.. We have a little family wager on the sex of the baby and the due date.. I have guessed 3/21 and a BOY.. Hoping this little baby wants to cooperate with his/her mama :)!!

Cheers!!
